Shady Days in Gay is the newest addition to the attractions and events in Gay, Georgia held every May and October. 

 

During the first full weekend in May & October every year Shady Days in Gay will host some of the most fabulous exhibitors in the Southeast.  Bring your family and meander throughout the shade trees and enjoy some of the most wonderful exhibits. Don’t stop and eat on the way because there is always great country cooking available for the hungry shopper and live entertainment to enjoy and get your toes to tapping while you’re here.  Make sure to bring the children with you because we have a great kids area.

Our next festival will be May 2nd & 3rd, 2009.  The hours are 9:00am until 6:00pm on Saturday - 10:00am until 5:00pm Sunday and admission is FREE.  Shady Days in Gay is held rain or shine in Meriwether County. We are located at 19125 Georgia Hwy 85 in the city limits of Gay, Georgia, approximately 45 miles south of Atlanta and 55 miles north of Columbus.

On the grounds of the Old Cannery, later used as the local school building, Shady Days in Gay exhibitors continue the spirit of craftsmanship, skill, talent and vision that many area farmers, homemakers, craftsmen and students began on this same site.
